Some people are so creative that they can make something out of nothing and make it look easy. When most of us look at rocks, we only see rocks, but when Cyprus-based artist Elena Zymara looks at rocks, she sees a world of potential and beauty.
It doesn’t take her much to turn them into gorgeous artwork, but that’s not to say that she didn’t work hard to get where she is. She toiled for years and years to achieve the artistic vision she was searching for, and now she’s reaping those rewards by selling her artwork on Etsy.
Zymara creates cute couples, families, animals, and other heartwarming scenes using simple rock shapes. She hand-picks the rocks at various Cyprus beaches, frames them, and later sells them for $100-150.
“My artwork is wall-framed, ready to be given as a gift for special ones, and comes well packaged,” the artist writes on her Etsy profile. “You can find gifts for weddings, anniversary, christenings, family, and friends, or keep one for yourself!”
Next time you’re on a vacation, try picking up a few pebbles and creating something similar for yourself as a fun travel memory! We can’t promise that they’ll be anything like Zymara’s though!
