American illustrator Katherine Lam creates art that can wake up warm feelings in anyone looking at it. She’s always been in love with visual art, but her career goals changed along the way.
Lam wanted to become an artist for a big animation studio like Disney or Pixar, but as she worked on achieving that goal, she realized that her passion was elsewhere. She now illustrates places and situations with unique atmospheres that many people relate to. She fell in love with editorial illustration during her studies at the Illustration Academy in Kansas City.
