Mariano Pascual’s Surreal Take on Lockdown

Mariano Pascual’s recent illustrations show the surreal take on the reality we’re in right now. Forced to stay at his home in Barcelona like most of us, he decided to use his feelings to create a series of illustrations he calls Lockdown.

Many artists are doing this these days, but Pascual’s work is different because it contains surreal elements. Through them, he’s trying to convey feelings many of us are having and help us relate and feel better knowing that we’re not alone.

The items that we easily associate with this pandemic and lockdown, such as toilet paper and face masks, appear even where you don’t expect them. See what more Pascual has created below and follow him on Instagram for more content.
