Stained glass art rarely gets as much attention as other art forms, but it definitely deserves it. Jasmine Marina Law of Plant Haus Designs is one of the artists trying to put it on the map, and her botanical stained glass art creations are truly a sight to behold.
Law is a stained glass artist and floral designer based in Portland, Oregon, and she’s on a quest to create one of a kind works of art with flora residing within.
“I use botanicals in everything I make. I believe in the notion of animism, which expresses the idea that all things have a spirit. I aim to capture that essence in a way that can be shared, honored, and enjoyed,” she explains on her official website.
Pressed flowers and plants look vibrant and colorful in Law’s photos because they’re preserved naturally and see very little sunlight before she makes them a part of her stained-glass art. As time passes by, they tend to lighten due to sun exposure, but Law sees this as a strength that only adds to their natural beauty.
Due to the amount of time required to make each artwork, Plant Haus doesn’t accept custom orders, and their offer includes everything from hanging decorations to botanical jewelry.
