One fun thing about illustrations is that they can take many different shapes and forms and still look amazing. Javier Pérez is one of the artists who made his illustrations really pop by adding everyday objects to the mix and coming up with creative ways to blend them together.
Pérez is based in Ecuador, and his Instagram page has attracted over 160,000 followers so far. His work is very simple and minimal, and his main goal is allowing people to “take a break from the saturation of photos in general.”
Everyday objects are an integral part of his illustrations, and he usually crafts the rest of the work around them. Due to the nature of his work, Pérez finds inspiration at every turn—while running, walking, or simply sitting on the bus.
The majority of his illustrations depict everyday situations we’ve all been in, but there are exceptions to this rule. He also enjoys using his illustrations to pay homage to his favorite movies and TV shows, such as Star Wars, The Avengers, and Stranger Things.
