Somethings the less you say in a painting says a whole lot more. Jesse Morrison, who has an Instagram artist account under the name “BorgDorg”, knows this very well. The more you look through his incredible paintings, the more you come to appreciate his style, and his uncanny use of the abstract.
Morrison’s art understands that it doesn’t always have to tell you something specific. It’s there to make you feel a certain way through texture and color. This, in its own right, is a form of communication, albeit not one that they teach in schools.
In many ways, it’s a language of emotion and feeling. Morrison, like many other great artists before him, seems to understand that this type of communication is just as important, if not more so. Looking at the painting below, one may conjure up images from outer space, as well as the ocean tide, in one mere sitting. This is no small feat!
