Japanese entertainment company KONAMI is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its hugely popular Yu-Gi-Oh! trading game next year. As part of the celebration, the company is releasing a special edition of the iconic Yu-Gi-Oh! Egyptian God cards: The God of Obelisk, Saint Dragon, The God of Osiris, and The Sun of God Dragon—made out of stainless steel.
These Egyptian God cards are considered the most powerful cards in the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe. They have been prominently featured in the anime series while also being used in real-life Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments.
According to KONAMI, the special edition of these cards is made from stainless steel, polished to a brilliant gleam, and enclosed in a protective acrylic display. However, these cards can only be purchased as a set and come at a hefty price of $399.99. Yu-Gi-Oh! can already order them online with the shipping starting in early 2024.
Stainless steel Egyptian God cards are not the only way KONAMI is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Yu-Gi-Oh!. The company previously released several other collectors’ items, including a Dark Magician card made out of platinum and card sets, while also organizing various sweepstakes.
