Liv Garber’s Illustrations Help You Find Joy in This Scary World

New York-based illustrator Liv Garber knows exactly how to put a smile on your face no matter what’s going on in the world. She uses art to spread joy and humor through quirky characters and pastel tones. She never thought she could be a professional illustrator, but that changed when she started art school.

“I feel like other people saw me as an artist before I saw myself,” Garber tells It’s Nice That. “I was the only one who surprised myself by my own decision.” The others around her knew this was her life calling, and luckily she realized it, too. At first, she had no idea what kind of art she could create – she only knew that she enjoyed drawing. Today, she has a rich portfolio and still develops her style. We can’t wait to see what this creative girl has yet to achieve, and it’s clear that she will continue improving.

“I find my inspiration from childhood memory, experience of queerness and my non-binary identity, and finding little joys in a very scary world,” she says. Scroll down to see some of her work and find out more on her Instagram page! Her bright and colorful prints are available here.
