Every aspiring artist’s dream is to get to point where they’re so darn skilled at their craft that there really is no limit to what they’re able to accomplish. It looks as though Lucy Sparrow has managed to achieve just that.
Sparrow is an expert sewer, and uses her incredible abilities to sew the world she sees around her. Her talents extend way beyond trivial items such as shirts and skirts, and into things you’d never expect would be sewed. She sews things such as food, animals, cans in a grocery aisle, and much more.
Her work hasn’t gone unnoticed in the slightest. Indeed, her beautiful creations have managed to garner her Instagram account, “Sew Your Soul”, over 99,000 followers—and she’s pretty close to hitting a clean 100,000.
What Sparrow is showing the world, when she sews something like a birthday cake, is that sometimes life doesn’t have to be practical. Sometimes the point of life is to just appreciate what’s in front of us. It doesn’t matter that you can’t eat the cake. Anyone can bake a cake that you can eat. But how many people can sew a cake that’ll take our breath away?
