Kevin Christian expected that his last day working at California’s Monterey County Probation Department before retirement would be just like any other. But his co-workers had other ideas.
Wanting to give him a proper send-off, Christian’s colleagues decided to dress up like him. They copied his signature style with black pants, a blue shirt, and a vest while even putting on bald caps for the full effect. Once Christian walked in and saw the office was full of his doppelgangers, he couldn’t believe his eyes and had to start laughing.
Diana Manuel, one of Christian’s co-workers, captured the whole thing on camera and later shared it with her TikTok followers. The video ended up raking in more than four million views.
After the success of the first video, Manuel later shared one more clip that shows just how in disbelief Christian was.
“What is wrong with you people?” he says at one point.
Besides the performance from his colleagues, Christian also received an official ceremony to commemorate his 30-year service with Monterey County Probation Department.
“We planned our outfits weeks in advance and crossed our fingers he would wear what we thought he would wear on his last day,” Mauel later told Storyful. “And success! We were right.”
