This Japanese Artist is Creating Bread Sculptures

It turns out that we haven’t used bread to its full potential so far. Sure, it serves as well as food, but did you know that it can also be used to make some impressive artworks?

Japanese artist known as Daisuke has been wowing social media users with his bread sculptures for years. He uses bread to make all sorts of objects, ranging from fashion items and footwear to luggage and sports equipment. And all of them look almost too good to eat.

For example, Daisuke recently replicated Crocs clogs in the most appetizing way possible. Besides doing a realistic Crocs pastry, he also embellished it with some homemade butter and tiny croissants. Just look at it and tell us you wouldn’t want to take a bite.

A while back, he also captured everyone’s morning routine in bread by baking toothpaste and a toothbrush. The creation even had a strawberry jam added for the full effect.

Daisuke isn’t a stranger to doing other food-related artworks like spring rolls and Prada bags, but there is no doubt that his bread sculptures are the biggest hits. If you want to stay up to date on Daisuke’s newest bread creations, make sure to follow him on social media. But in the meantime, scroll below to see more of his works.
