Becoming a full-time traveler requires a lot of sacrifices, and no one knows this better than travel influencer Marina Comes. She was a corporate lawyer before she decided to follow her gut, leave her job behind, focus on traveling the world, and make her dreams come true.
Comes was born in the small Catalan town Tarragona, but she went on to call several other Spanish cities her home, including Barcelona and Madrid. She visited over 60 countries since deciding to become a full-time traveler and had to leave a lucrative job behind to make it happen.
Comes was a corporate lawyer before deciding that traveling the world is her true calling. She started sharing her travel adventures on Instagram in 2015 and only had 20,000 followers when she decided to take a break from work and fully focus on her travel life.
“I decided to give it a try because I had been working hard for so many years that I felt I deserved some adventure in my life… And here I am, still working hard but a lot happier than when I was a corporate lawyer who couldn’t stand her boss,” Comes told We Travel Girls.
The risk paid off and she’s been traveling ever since, attracting almost 300,000 followers to her Instagram page.
