Instagram is home to many cats that found viral fame on this social media platform, but it’s even more fun when they come in pairs. That’s the case with Mochi and Sumo, two adorable kitties that are complete opposites yet perfectly complement each other.
The owner of this cat duo is based in Boston, and on Instagram, she calls them “two teddy bears who can’t bear to be two paws apart”. They were born just four days apart and their owner has been treating them like royalty ever since.
She describes Sumo as a “grizzly bear” and Mochi as a “polar bear” but there’s one thing they both share despite their distinct colors. Both kittens are Scottish Fold cats, a breed well-known for their owl-like look due to their folded ears.
The color of their fur isn’t the only thing that sets Sumo and Mochi apart. Their character is also quite different and they enjoy different activities. Mochi is a fan of going for walks, playing fetch, and messing around with her owner’s iPad, while Sumo is more curious and adventurous at heart.
One thing that Mochi and Sumo share is their photogenic nature, and this quality attracted over 200,000 followers to their Instagram page. From posing in silly costumes to exploring Boston’s top landmark, they’re always in the mood to put a smile on our faces with their new adventures.
