Ruth Rodrigo specializes in crafting some of the most magical handmade journals that you’ll ever come across and she’s using them to pay homage to the beauty of Mother Earth.
Rodrigo is a self-taught embroidery artist based in the Philippines, and she made quite a splash with her handmade journals since she started sharing them on her Instagram page @journallyours. She enjoys using thread and needles to create all sorts of tiny trinkets, but journals are definitely her personal favorite.
Nature is clearly her biggest muse, and the covers of her journals are often adorned with everything from butterflies to mushrooms, but flowers are clearly her main source of inspiration.
“It’s always been a challenge to pick the best thread color to go with fabrics – even so, flowers, of any shade and colors, makes both the background and foreground of the same beauty,” she explained on her Facebook page.
In addition to posting her breathtaking works of art on Instagram, Rodrigo also runs a YouTube channel where she shares detailed tutorials for everyone willing to try making handmade journals on their own.
