If you think that cats and dogs can’t get along, that’s only because you’ve never heard of Samson and Cleo. Their friendship and close bond are so amazing that they became an internet sensation, with 150,000 Instagram followers and counting.
If you think that Samson and Cleo look familiar, it’s probably because you’ve already seen viral videos that show the adorable golden retriever giving his tired feline BFF a ride on his back. Their owner Lea Hendy also has a Labrador named Calvin, but his bond with Cleo isn’t as strong as Samson’s.
Hendy decided to adopt a cat after seeing how excited Samson got after seeing one during their trip to Paris. Her pets always join her during travels and hikes, but long walking adventures can get tiring for the tiny Cleo, who is less than a year old.
That’s why Samson decided to jump in and help his feline sister enjoy every step of the journey. He allows her to hop on to his back whenever she feels tired and lets her stay there until she’s ready to keep walking. The adorable duo often wears matching clothes, and they enjoy cuddling and sleeping by each other’s side after the long hiking adventures are over.
