Noticing a big abandoned gas tank by the road would make most people just continue minding their own business. But French street artist Braga Last1 figured it would be a shame not to give it a purpose. So he turned it into an amazing piece of art.
Using just spray paint, Braga Last1 transformed the ugly and plain tank into a realistic portrayal of a Sphynx cat. He blended the artwork in its surroundings so perfectly, that the passersby could easily mistake it for a real thing if they don’t inspect it closely. And it isn’t hard to see why.
According to the artist, he was inspired for the artwork by his girlfriend’s Sphynx cat. In order to make the illusion work, he had to make numerous photos from different angles to perfect it while spending several days working on the piece.
