This Street Artist Draws Adorable Creatures Using Chalk, Charcoal, and Objects He Finds on the Streets

According to David Zinn’s Instagram bio, he is a street artist specializing in small-scale, improvised and (mostly) light-hearted chalk art. He began creating art in 1987 in and around Ann Arbor, Michigan. During his career he has done a variety of arts, working with commercial art, creating theatrical posters, business logos, educational cartoons, landfill murals, and so on. Nowadays, Zinn is a street artist who draws adorable creatures and animal portraits using chalk, charcoal, and found objects.

Most of his drawings appear on sidewalks in Michigan, but many have found their way all the way to subway platforms in Manhattan, village squares in Sweden, and street corners in Taiwan. People love his work and his art has been recognized both locally and internationally. For example, currently, on his Instagram account, he has attracted more than 337,000 followers and has thousands of likes on each post.

Zinn’s art has been also featured in media worldwide, like in Huffington Post, Graffiti Art Magazine, Central China Television, Street Art Utopia, and many more.
