Actor Thomas Brodie-Sangster recently became viral thanks to a funny exchange he had with one TikToker. The Love Actually star got approached on the street by TikTok user Ruby Hexx, who asked him on a date without knowing who he was.
Hexx’s documented the exchange in a viral video posted on social media. It shows the TikTok user and her friend approaching Brodie-Sangster and asking him whether he’d rather have $100 or “a date with us two.”
“Oh, I’m in a relationship, so I’ll take the hundred dollars. No offense,” said Brodie-Sangster while joking that he would have no use of the money since he’s English.
As Brodie-Sangster started walking away, Hexx realized he looked familiar.
“Just out of interest, you an actor?” Hexx asked.
Brodie-Sangster confirmed before correcting Hexx, who thought she had seen him in The Chronicles of Narnia.
“I went to the premiere of that, but I wasn’t in it!” Brodie-Sangster cleared the confusion before walking away.
Hexx’s video quickly started making rounds on social media, getting 3.6 million in just a week. You can check out the entertaining exchange below.
While he wasn’t in The Chronicles of Narnia, Thomas Brodie-Sangster has plenty of notable roles under his belt. Besides Love Actually, he also starred in the film franchise Maze Runner, the fantasy series Game of Thrones, and Netflix’s critically acclaimed show The Queen’s Gambit. He received an Emmy Award nomination for the latter.
