Woman From Norway Shares Weird Things in America From a European Perspective

No matter how open-minded you are or how well you know a particular foreign country, there will always be some things you will find weird once you get there. This is because differences in how different countries approach everyday things can be pretty surprising. For example, how the prices in American stores are never actually correct as you end up paying more on the register due to different taxes.

One TikTok user named Eirunn, who recently came from Norway to the United States, was especially surprised by the differences between her native country and her new home. So, she started making a list of “weird things in America from a Europeans perspective” and decided to record a video to share with her social media followers.

In the clip, she mentions various things, from how there is “no duvet inside the duvet cover” to the fact that stores in America prepare for holidays way too early. Eirunn also wonders why people still use checks in the U.S. and the importance of credit scores.

@eirunneba Just a virgo with a list!!! In a mood today so let me rant ok🥺 #studyabroad #studyabroadusa #europeanculture #greenscreen ♬ original sound – Eirunn

Shortly after being posted, the video blew up. It racked up one million views in a few weeks while sparking a big debate in the comment section. The success of the video prompted Eirunn to expand the list further and record a few more clips on the subject. You can check Part 2 and Part 3 below as well.
