We can all agree that cats are the best, which makes cat comics the best as well. Luckily, there is no shortage of webcomics starring a cat, and it appears that we have a new favorite each week. This time around, it is “I iz cat” comics created by artist Nick Filippou.

Five years ago, Filippou adopted a cat named Minnie from a rescue in Baltimore, Maryland. The adorable former stray feline with a clipped ear quickly settled in her new home and turned out to be an energetic bundle of joy. She and her new owner actually had so much fun together that the artist decided he could turn some of their adventures into a comic.

Filippou’s first comic about Minnie was a huge success among his friends, so he decided to do several more. He focused on his and the cat’s day-to-day interactions, which proved to be quite popular among social media users thanks to the comics’ relatable and funny nature.

Minnie went on to star in more than 600 comics, while “I iz cat” comics amassed a following of around 115K on Instagram alone. And this isn’t all, as Filippou now wants to turn Minnie’s adventures into a book.

“A larger project I’ve been working on is a collection of short stories starring Minnie and other cat adventures,” he shared in a recent interview. “I have no idea how long this will take me, but it is something I’m having fun with!”

In the meantime, check out more of Minnie’s funny mishaps and escapades below.
