]]>Water monitors are commonly known as black dragons, and they’re one of the largest lizard species in the world. They became a pretty popular species thanks to their distinctive color, and Glass was immediately drawn to them. She’s the owner of two black dragons – Kayda and Killua – in addition to sharing her home with several dogs and cats.
Despite inspiring many people to welcome a black dragon into their homes, Glass wouldn’t recommend it to just anyone. They’re not an average house pet, and it takes a lot of time, energy, patience, and money, to take proper care of them.
“I get a little concerned with how many people ask where they can buy a black dragon. I make keeping [Kayda and Killua] look easy and it is for me but it wasn’t always easy. It was a lot of hard work and I still socialize with them on a daily basis,” she explains on her Instagram.

She spotted the fridge while watching a detective series, Shetland, and wanted to know whether it was real or just a prop. As it turns out, it was more than real.

Her post soon went viral, being viewed more than 250K times, with internet users amazed by the concept.
“Normalize cake fridges!” wrote one X user.
Other X users shared their own experiences with the honesty system. As it turns out, similar concepts are being employed in other parts of Great Britain, Canada, and the United States.
“I’ve seen the honor system on everything from chocolate cheesecake, to veggies and eggs, to art in rural parts of Atlantic Canada. There will be a wee outbuilding filled with the offerings and a money box. It’s one of my favorite things,” @ruby_whiskers shared.
The cake fridge spotted by @TheSassyBirdie is operated by The Original Cake Fridge, a small bakery that is an hour away from the location of the fridge. Its staff updates the contents of the fridge on a daily basis and makes sure to have it stocked with all sorts of cakes and other desserts. ]]>Krueger works as a chief meteorologist at the television channel CW39 Houston. Looking to make his weather reports more fun for himself and the viewers, he decided to start inserting quotes from movies and popular songs while delivering weather forecasts. Over time, he began also accepting various challenges from his social media followers.
In a video posted on his TikTok profile earlier this year, Krueger can be seen listening to “Down with the Sickness” while driving to work. The clip then cuts to Krueger’s weather report that day, in which he amazingly manages to sneak the majority of the song’s lyrics, including the famous “ooh wah-ah-ah-ah.”
Arguably the best moment of the clip came towards the end, when he talked about cedar pollen.
“If you suffer from cedar pollen, it’s really rough. I need to psyche myself up to basically go outside, like … Get up, come on, get down with the sickness,” Krueger tells the viewers.
Krueger’s video became a huge hit on TikTok, receiving more than five million views while also getting the attention of Disturbed. The band’s official TikTok account commented on the video, writing: “Epic, thanks Adam!” alongside several emojis.

]]>Plaud initially submitted his matchstick Eiffel Tower for record consideration in early January and believed he had it in the bag. After all, his replica was almost 23.6 feet tall, more than enough to surpass the previous record of 21.4 feet, which was set by Toufic Daher in 2009.
However, several weeks later, Plaud received a rejection letter from the Guinness World Records inspectors. In the letter, the inspectors told him that his replica was ineligible because he used the wrong kind of match.
As it turned out, the matches used for the replica had to be commercially available. Plaud, on the other hand, found the process of removing the sulfur heads off store-bought matches time-consuming, so he directly contacted the manufacturer and ordered plain matchsticks.
Plaud’s story was picked up by various media outlets and spread on the internet, with the publicity causing Guinness World Records to reconsider their decision. They eventually accepted Plaud’s submission and officially awarded him the record.

]]>Born in Seattle, Washington, O’Dell spent most of her childhood living on the Big Island of Hawai’i. There, her parents had an art studio where they crafted all sorts of glass sculptures and artworks, prompting her interest in the medium. At the same time, she was surrounded by captivating natural beauties and diversity, becoming interested in Oceanography and Astronomy, among other fields.
O’Dell later followed her parents’ footsteps in exploring glass art while her island upbringing and interest in nature led her to pick out extinct marine animals as the main subjects of her creative efforts.
“Glass often evokes a perceived fragility. With wafer-thin screen-printed glass powders, I am able to convey the commonly perceived fragility of glass within a theme like animal extinction,” O’Dell explains on her website. “In contrast, Glass can also be massive and impervious. By casting thick blocks of transparent glass embedded with patterned inclusions, I try to communicate hope in Nature’s persistence.”

When asked about the inspiration for his unique pasta creations, Rivillo said that he gets inspired by the world that surrounds him.
“My inspiration comes from everywhere: nature, any artwork, architecture, textile, and fashion designs,” Rivillo explained in a chat with Bored Panda. “I’m constantly thinking about making any design that looks interesting into pasta.”

]]>Suppose Design Office designed a one-of-a-kind laundromat in Shikokuchuo City, Japan, where customers have plenty of ways to spend time. Set in a renovated warehouse, The Laundry Holiday offers an in-house cafe, ice cream shop, and everything you need for playing a game of table tennis.
Besides reinventing the concept of laundromats, based on the owner’s wish to turn laundry duty into a fun task, the studio also put a lot of focus on the exterior of the place. The original façade of the warehouse was left intact beside the front, which was turned into a window display. The café and the ice cream shop were given a green tile treatment for a visually appealing contrast.
If the Laundry Holiday was any closer, we would probably do our laundry all the time there. But since it is not, we can only admire the idea.

Recently, Ivliev presented a series of jewelry designs inspired by the world of Genshin Impact. The designs are made in gold and come adorned with gemstones corresponding to the trademark colors of the video game characters like Raiden Shogun, Nahida the Queen of Dendro, and Furina.
There are more than a dozen designs in Ivliev’s Genshin Impact jewelry series, including septum rings, piercings, earrings, and rings. Some of them are still in the concept phase, while others have already been crafted by Ivliev and his team of jewelers.
