]]>Abdullatif takes everyday saying and phrases and turns them into pun-filled illustrations. His works are minimalistic but filled with characters that will both make you laugh and charm you with their cute looks.
When browsing through Abdullatif’s works, you’ll encounter phrases that you probably use every day. However, there is a chance that you’ll start thinking about them in a different way and have to battle the urge not to chuck next time you or someone else mentions them.
For example, the phrase “I’d be lost without you” is illustrated using two happy socks. An illustration of two glass panels, one clear and the other tinted, illustrates, “I want to be perfectly clear with you.”
Aside from these charming and funny cartoons, Abdullatif, who has 12 years of experience in graphic design and illustrations, also creates all sorts of conceptual and vector art. ]]>In footage captured by a security camera, a woman named Anne Hughes can be seen standing in front of the Best One convenience store in the Welsh village of Tonteg. Suddenly, the shop shutter begins to lift and takes Hughes in the air as her jacket gets stuck on it. The woman, who works as a cleaner in the shop, ends up dangling in the air for a few moments before a member of the staff rushes out of the store to help her out.
Hughes was fortunately unharmed, and the clip received more than two million views on TikTok.
After the video went viral, Tee2Sugars immortalized the scene on the same shutter that was responsible for the incident. According to the artist, Hughes liked the piece and was “good sport” about it.
“It’s not something that’s going to change her life but it’s a funny moment that’s going to be remembered for ever,” Tee2Sugars told British media outlet Guardian.

]]>O’Reilly, who cites nature as her biggest inspiration, created her first piece of woodburning art in 2016. It took her six hours to finish it, but she was immediately captivated by the process and discovered that it had a relaxing effect on her.
“It is not hard to say I was instantly hooked,” she shares on her website. “Seeing my finished art piece for the first time made me smile, but reflecting on the passed six hours made me smile even bigger. I found something that I could fully relax, be present, and immerse myself in. Being creative felt so good.”
Since then, O’Reilly made over 400 commissioned woodburning artworks as well as numerous personal designs. Additionally, this talented artist also ventured into other woodburning works like custom charcuterie boards and canoe paddles while closely collaborating with local woodworkers.

]]>The way the colors shift, and their intensity is pre-programmed, but the change comes gradually and in random sequences, resulting in an immersive visual experience.
“Several overlapping light cycles will keep producing different color balances and blends – and different shadow formations that slowly evolve and never exactly repeat. The process is simple. The results are complex,” Eno shared in the press release.
According to Eno, the turntable was designed to be a functional device for playing records while also serving as a piece of art.
“When it doesn’t have to do anything in particular, like play a record, it’s a sculpture,” Eno adds.
Turntable II is currently on display at the Paul Stolper Gallery in London, UK. When it is released, it will be limited to 150 units. The turntable has a price tag of £20,000 ($25,360) and comes with Eno’s signature as well as the edition number engraved on the side.
Brian Eno is known for being a co-founder of the English rock band Roxy Music and for his work in ambient music. Eno, who has been a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 2019, has also produced albums by music acts like U2, Coldplay, and Grace Jones.

However, by Week 3, Grandma can be seen slowly changing her mind about Peter. The two exchange some sweet moments while the serious look on Grandma’s face turns into a big smile.
By the time Claire and Peter are set to leave China, Grandma is fully on Team Peter. She can be seen waving at the couple with a sad look on her face. The video blew up across social media, getting more than 17 million views on TikTok alone.

Grocery chain Aldi is part of the app’s networks and frequently offers “Grocery Surprise Bags”, which can contain all sorts of products, from sausages and bread to blocks of cheese.
Blair showcased his Aldi “Grocery Surprise Bag” haul in a video posted on X. The clip shows a package of Korean-style BBQ Beef before the camera turns to a cardboard box filled with 36 blocks of cheese.

Blair’s post got a lot of attention on social media, being viewed 6.6 million times and receiving close to 5K retweets. It also prompted other X users to share some of their own “Grocery Surprise Bag” hauls, including eight sausage rolls and eight donuts, boxes full of veggies, and a package of 54 bread rolls and 67 cookies.
The news about Blair’s “Grocery Surprise Bag” reached Too Good to Go as well, causing their social media team to react with a message full of cheese puns.

]]>According to Holt, she always liked myths and folklore stories and used to read them a lot when she was young. She later started researching mythology further and ended up combining it with her passion for pottery.
(@clara.holt.ceramics)“I have always had a passion for classical literature, Greek epics, and the surrealist current, which guides my research and personal interpretation of my subjects,” Holt shares on her website. “Each piece is a one-off, illustrated with a drawing inspired by places, mythology, or childhood stories.”
While Holt combines several techniques, her favorite one is sgraffito. Popularized in Italy during the 15th and 16th centuries, sgraffito includes covering an unfired ceramic body with glaze or color and then scraping it off in order to create contrasting images, patterns, or lettering. Besides making pots, vases, and other vessels, Holt applies her unique style to handmade ceramic tiles.

]]>Cheone’s works are special not only because he efficiently manages to produce a 3D effect on a 2D surface. The talented artist often incorporates urban surroundings into his works or makes the murals interact with them in a way that enhances their effect.
Cheone grew up surrounded by art and was a very talented painter at a young age. However, once he discovered graffiti, he immediately fell in love with it and decided to make street art his life’s calling.
According to Cheone, he gravitated specifically toward 3D street art because he wanted to make his murals unique and captivating while challenging himself as an artist.
“The idea was born from the desire to get out of the box, and in all my designs I try to send messages of unease, the joy of life and what surrounds me,” Cheone explained in a recent interview.

]]>Considering that Papa Legba left the house wearing nothing but its fur, this naturally stirred up the TikToker’s curiosity. The mystery became even more intriguing when that happened several more times, prompting @wedonotownacat to share the story in a video posted on social media.

Determined to get to the bottom of this, @wedonotownacat devised a plan to get more familiar with their neighbors and try to see where Papa Legba found his other family. She baked some cookies and gave them around the neighborhood while asking around, but had little success.
Other TikTok users were just as fascinated with the mystery, with some theories offered in the comments section.
“Maybe kitty has been out shopping, check your credit cards,” one user jokingly commented.
Others suggested putting a note on Papa Legba’s collar and see whether the cat’s second family responds.
Hopefully, this mystery gets solved quickly because we are also eager to find out more about Papa Legba’s secret life.
