Check Out These Intriguing Darth Vader Sculptures by Ken Kelleher

Multi-disciplinary artist Ken Kelleher recently presented an intriguing series of sculptures inspired by the Star Wars character Darth Vader. For the project, Kelleher created Darth Vader from a number of materials, including wool and ceramics.

For example, his Knit Darth sculpture was 100% hand-knitted over a resin frame and sees the antagonist of the Star Wars original trilogy adorned with patches of rainbow colors.

On the other hand, Well Dressed Darth is made out of resin and features a colorful hand-made wool garment.

Both Knit Darth and Well Dressed Darth sculptures can be purchased through Kelleher’s official website. They are made to order, with each being capped at 15 sculptures. If you want to own one, it will set you back $75,000.

Besides these two, Kelleher also created Darth Vader sculptures from ceramics, bronze, marble, quilt, and more.

“I experiment with a variety of materials, wood, steel, fiberglass, tape, plastic – the list is expanding,” Kelleher explains. ”I make sculptures based on a dialogue with the materials, and with my imagination, sometimes forms appear in a drawing, and I am inspired to make them real.
