Christmas is right around the corner and everyone knows it’s the most wonderful time of the year. Unfortunately, in 2020 we’ll be celebrating the holidays a little bit differently, and not the way we’re used to.
Instead of having a heartwarming, real-life, huge family gathering, we’ll likely share our joy online through Zoom or WhatsApp video calls. Thankfully, we have cartoonist Garth German to help turn these struggles into positive works of art.
The San Francisco-based artist explains how much he loves what he does. Being a cartoonist is his most favorite hobby and passion, which he merged and later turned into an Instagram account called Garthtoons. For years he’s been making Christmas-themed artworks, and this year is no exception.
He explains that he loves exploring the different aspects of Christmas life and that 2020 will provide a unique opportunity for that. The magic usually happens at night when he gets home from work and spends time with his family.
Outside of his Christmas work, he has tons of quirky illustrations that depict random, everyday situations as well.
