]]>Abdullatif takes everyday saying and phrases and turns them into pun-filled illustrations. His works are minimalistic but filled with characters that will both make you laugh and charm you with their cute looks.
When browsing through Abdullatif’s works, you’ll encounter phrases that you probably use every day. However, there is a chance that you’ll start thinking about them in a different way and have to battle the urge not to chuck next time you or someone else mentions them.
For example, the phrase “I’d be lost without you” is illustrated using two happy socks. An illustration of two glass panels, one clear and the other tinted, illustrates, “I want to be perfectly clear with you.”
Aside from these charming and funny cartoons, Abdullatif, who has 12 years of experience in graphic design and illustrations, also creates all sorts of conceptual and vector art. His works can be found all over the internet, but the best place to check them out is his Instagram profile. Continue scrolling to see some of our favorites.

]]>The post Check Out These Intriguing Illustrations of Runners By Jack Fletcher appeared first on https://everydaymonkey.com.
]]>Fletcher started this series when he made several illustrations featuring runners as part of a rebranding project for one running shop in Edinburgh. He enjoyed making these artworks so much that he decided to continue making them.
According to Fletcher, he hopes his works can prompt sports audiences to take a bigger interest in creative disciplines and the creative community to consider giving sports like running a chance. The artist himself actually wasn’t a fan of sports at first but came to enjoy running as a form of exercise.
“I think there is a lot of great crossover potential between the creative community and, say, the running community, and continuing to explore what is happening on the intersecting fringes of both is really exciting,” Fletcher shared in a recent interview with It’s Nice That.

]]>Pol-Edouard’s works represent homage to sci-fi action movies, futuristic games, and the predictions of the future that dominated the world some four decades ago. They usually depict scenes and characters while being packed with all the things people like from the era, including action heroes, robots, futuristic cars, crazy weapons, and much more.
According to the artist, these illustrations, made exclusively with markers, are not copies of particular moments from movies and video games and tend to show scenes and characters the way he remembers them.
“I seek to make my childhood and adolescent memories visible by highlighting the elements that left an impression on me,” Pol-Edouard told Hype Beast in a recent interview. “That’s why it’s important for me not to copy a photograph but to create my own version. As for saturated colors, I would say it’s to bring strength to the visual and make it impactful in turn.”
Pol-Edouard’s works are currently on display at Friche la Belle de Mai in Marseille, France. The artist also shares them on a regular basis on his social media. Check out more of them below.

After a while, she reached a point when she felt like something was missing, and took some time to figure out what brings her peace and happiness.
“I realized I was happiest and most relaxed when I was engaged in a creative activity. It was a truly simple way to unwind and get in a zone of calming mindfulness. It reminded me of simpler times when we were kids and creative expression came so naturally to us,” she explains on her official website.
Twillo Story was born, and Khandai attracted over 145,000 to her Instagram page since starting this brand in 2021. She also introduced a wide range of products inspired by her illustrations, ranging from prints and stationery to anti-anxiety coloring books and Twillo’s signature Zen Boxes.

]]>Titsay enjoyed playing with colors and shapes for as long as she can remember, and she decided to pursue illustration as a hobby after saving up for her first iPad in 2019. She’s been a long way since then, and her Instagram page is now followed by almost 450,000 people.
Titsay has a degree in biology, and her educational background significantly impacted her work. Nature takes center stage in most of her illustrations and many of them are themed around floral elements and adorable animals.
When she first started sharing her illustrations with the world, she only used her Instagram page as her everyday diary, but it grew into something much bigger as the years went by.
“I love how I can express my feelings without solely relying on words. Oftentimes, I can’t explain my emotions and I feel isolated. However, when I draw my characters, I feel less alone,” she told Vectornator.

]]>Karim is a Berlin-based illustrator, who attracted over 100,000 followers to his Instagram page with his black and white drawings. He got his Bachelor of Arts degree in design/illustration in 2016 but struggled to find his own artistic style before giving ink a shot.
“When I tried ink for the very first time, I was really surprised how beautiful the pigmentation was. I looked up several artists who worked with ink and was blown away by the black and white composition and simplicity,” he told Baram House.
Karim’s illustrations may look quite simple, but the deeper meaning always hides between the lines, and he leaves it up to the audience to come to their own conclusions.
Most of Karim’s illustrations are inspired by women’s strengths and vulnerabilities, and he’s hoping they’ll feel empowered and understood when looking at his art. Guided by the Japanese proverb “hair is the heart of a woman”, he often puts hair front and center in his illustrations, showing it transform into rivers, oceans, and the cosmos itself.

She’s currently pursuing a degree in biomedical engineering, and painting is just a hobby she started exploring after finishing high school. She was looking for a way to fill the time after her graduation and decided to find her own style as an artist.
She tried acrylics and oil painting when she was younger, but something clicked when she decided to give watercolors a shot. Isabelle is completely self-taught, and she learned the secrets of the craft by watching other artists at work, while also using photo references to learn about the structure, shading, and colors of different desserts.
“I did not learn how to draw watercolor in lessons, but instead I learned from other successful artists in the world. Their painting techniques, colors, art styles, even their topics are helpful, At least I merge them into my style,” she explained on Instagram.

“I adopted a cat in early 2021, and I am really into her grumpy and sassy cattitude; that’s how the whole story started. I observe her, play with her, and I blend her cattitude with my sarcastic nature into the painting,” the artist told Bored Panda.
JK doesn’t have a traditional art background and describes themselves as “a self-taught and always learning artist.” Their illustrations are mainly inspired by Pow Pow, and the artist is trying to capture her colors, textures, and emotions with each brushstroke.
Since embarking on this journey, Pow Pow’s adventures attracted almost 270,000 followers to the Instagram page @st.aftercigs. It can take anywhere between 3-5 days for JK to finish their illustrations, but they’re certainly worth the wait.
