Ben Hoblyn and Ross Montgomery met each other at Primary School, and their friendship has lasted for over 20 years. And they decided to do one thing together: follow their passions. They make remarkable portraits of celebrities, animals, and posters by using only black dice.
They named their collaboration Dice Ideas by bringing together their “artistic and design traits” to create unique artwork.
“After all, the artwork is a material representation of yourself, and you will proudly share any piece you feel a personal connection to,” they shared in a statement. “With this in mind, we have worked hard to develop a process in which we can work alongside you and create unique dice art that echoes your sentiment.”
You can find portraits of Cristiano Ronaldo, Dua Lipa, The Godfather, Niki Minaj, and more done with precision and hundreds of dice.
At Dice Ideas, they want to try and achieve originality, inspiration a sense of wonder, and creativity “by taking an ordinary item and turning it into the extraordinary.”
