Meet Willow: The Cat That Travels Across Australia

If you’ve ever traveled with your pet, you are familiar with all the pros and cons. While they can certainly be fun companions, they’re also incredibly demanding on your time and attention. However, one black cat has been a great travel buddy for his owner. Meet Willow: the feline who explored whimsical Australian forests, wavy beaches, and sandy deserts.

Back in 2015, Willow and her human dad Richard East left their hometown in Tasmania with the desire to travel around Australia. He got rid of everything—including his house and furniture—before quitting his job, hopping into his van, and starting their adventure together.

“They say when you don’t have a schedule, you can’t be late, right? With no reservations or bookings to worry about, van life gives you a lot of flexibility when things go wrong,” East wrote on his website.

He soon started an Instagram account and began sharing images of their destinations. If you scroll through it, you will see Willow posing like a model surrounded by countless beautiful landscapes. To make things even more interesting, the inseparable duo just got a new companion named Stephanie, who recently become Mrs. East!
