Ruiz lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she’s inspired by numerous women she sees in the city’s nightlife scene. These are the women she sees as successful and satisfied with their own lives. “The lights at night, the music—I like to represent women living these scenes,” Ruiz said, according to Brown Paper Bag. She’s particularly intrigued by the fashion choices of these women. “I think fashion is an art that allows us to design ourselves and express what happens in a specific time of our life,” she says.
