Traveling the world on your own requires a lot of courage, but things tend to get easier after you take that first step. Rox Adventures will give you a push in the right direction, and her travel tips will help you explore the world as a young, solo traveler with a limited budget.
Instagram page @roxadventures was started by the Romanian adventure seeker Roxana, who’s sharing her experiences on her travel blog Contrast Adventures. She fell in love with traveling when her parents took her on her first international trip to Turkey at eight, but it took a while before she summoned the courage to do it all on her own.
Roxana’s outlook on exploring other cultures changed while she volunteered in China for six weeks in 2017, and solo travel quickly became her therapy.
“I remember being terrified of things like catching my connection flight or finding the hostel. However, everything went smoothly and that was the best summer of my life. I made lots of memories, had a cultural shock from which I learned a lot, and met wonderful people,” she explained on her blog.
Roxana went on to visit 20+ countries and volunteer on four continents after realizing that her destiny is on the road, and she’s hoping her blog will help others embark on their own solo adventure.
