It’s always fun when you find a way to mix two of your passions into one, and Stephanie Hockersmith managed to do it in the most incredible way possible. She became a true Instagram star after she started baking pies inspired by her favorite book covers.
Hockersmith has been making pies for over 15 years, and she became passionate about them when she decided to go gluten-free. This lifestyle change inspired you to look for an amazing gluten-free recipe for pie crust, and she’s been baking them ever since.
Hockersmith is also a huge book lover, and she started an Instagram account, @pieladybooks where she can share her passion for books with the world in 2018. Shortly after that, she was so fascinated by one of the book covers she came across that she decided to make a pie that looks just like it, and that marked the beginning of an amazing journey.
Hockersmith now goes by @pieladybooks on Instagram, and she enjoys the process of matching different colors and experimenting with dough designs to make her signature book pies.
“There’s certain books that the covers just speaks to me and I think ‘I’ve gotta make this into a pie.’ Sometimes I make them into a pie before I even read them, but most of the time I’m trying to feature books that I’ve loved or am excited about,” Hockersmith told Good Morning America.
