]]>Pupet’s paintings start with a grid structure. From there, the artist fills out each grid with color, building a striking image that looks slightly distorted but still represents a whole composition. A particular grid doesn’t always seamlessly follow the ones that surround it, further adding to the uniqueness of the piece.
According to Pupet, he first started using the grid technique several years ago when wanting to transform a digital sketch into a silicon print. He was intrigued by the possibilities that grids added to his creative process, so he started using them in his other works.
“What happened is that I used to paint in a more traditional style, but I was always trying to find different ways to imprint reality through my works,” Pupet explained in a recent interview.
Pupet is now using his grids approach to create paintings that became popular among art collectors around the world. He is also translating this unique style to other works, such as a recent mural in Zaragoza, Spain.

The talented artist regularly shares his newest drawings on his Instagram page, which currently has 37K followers. Social media users always remain in awe of his ability to capture Joaquin Phoenix, Denzel Washington, Keanu Reeves, and many other famous figures in photograph-like quality while only using graphite pen and charcoal.
According to Macedo, he has been drawing since early childhood and experimented with various styles before settling on realistic drawings. While he already achieved a great level of skill in this art form, he says he is constantly working on improving.
“I have been doing realistic drawings for years, always pushing myself toward improving my skills in order to become better and better,” the artist shares.
Macedo’s expertise in realistic drawings is a result of hard work but also his willingness to seek guidance from other artists by attending art courses. Now, he is doing the same, offering tutorials and private classes for aspiring artists who want to improve their skills.

“It is my biggest inspiration. Everything amazing and beautiful is out there already,” Zeidan shared.
You’re probably thinking how Zeidan’s works remind you of all of those animated movies from Disney or Pixar. Well, while her style is unique, it does carry the same quality. As a matter of fact, this talented artist has more than a few animated projects on her resume.
Zeidan has so far worked on The Bob’s Burgers Movie by 20th Century Studios, Netflix’s Disenchanted and Green Eggs & Ham series, and the movie Space Jam: A New Legacy.

]]>Having paper cutouts as stars of the photos made her road trip unforgettable, so Stretcu decided to turn this awesome idea into a series titled “I was cutout for this.”
“I thought this project would come to a natural end when our trip ended, but the paper dolls were bitten by the travel bug so I decided to keep going,” she explained in a recent blog post on Bored Panda. “And now they’re still going on little adventures, but usually closer to home.”
Besides traveling, Stretcu’s cute paper cutouts found themselves in all sorts of others situations. This included spending time in the kitchen cooking or enjoying a relaxing bath.
The paper cutouts series is a passion project for Stretcu. Her main focus is illustrating children’s books. According to her website, she specializes in “illustrations with a strong aww-factor.”

According to Szeto, most of the scenes and characters depicted in her works are fictional. However, she doesn’t shy away from finding some inspiration in the real world, even if it’s just the tiny details.
“When I’m out and about doing other things, such as grocery shopping, I’ll keep an eye out for interesting details, arrangements, etc. It’s more about keeping myself open to inspiration rather than seeking it out. I often find that if I go out specifically to find inspiration, it eludes me,” Szeto told Neocha in a recent interview.

]]>Austin is a painter and sculptor from Toronto, Canada, and he fell in love with art in his youth, while browsing through sci-fi books at a local library. His approach to art has been evolving for years, and he finally found his footing once he decided to use his surrealist vision to present nature around us in a whole new light.
Austin has been fascinated by the vast elusiveness of the ocean since his youth, and he decided to put sharks front and center in his art, hoping he’ll change the way we perceive these ocean predators.
“I remember as a child visiting a local marine amusement park, and seeing these beautiful creatures locked up made me so angry and sad. To help my feelings as a child I drew wildlife living free, interacting with humans in a non-captive way, in the wild where there weren’t any cages,” he explained in an interview with Beinart Gallery.
Sharks are not limited to the ocean in his paintings, and they can be seen swimming through forests and cities, creating the contrasting effect that Austin’s art is best known for.
