]]>Pol-Edouard’s works represent homage to sci-fi action movies, futuristic games, and the predictions of the future that dominated the world some four decades ago. They usually depict scenes and characters while being packed with all the things people like from the era, including action heroes, robots, futuristic cars, crazy weapons, and much more.
According to the artist, these illustrations, made exclusively with markers, are not copies of particular moments from movies and video games and tend to show scenes and characters the way he remembers them.
“I seek to make my childhood and adolescent memories visible by highlighting the elements that left an impression on me,” Pol-Edouard told Hype Beast in a recent interview. “That’s why it’s important for me not to copy a photograph but to create my own version. As for saturated colors, I would say it’s to bring strength to the visual and make it impactful in turn.”
Pol-Edouard’s works are currently on display at Friche la Belle de Mai in Marseille, France. The artist also shares them on a regular basis on his social media. Check out more of them below.

]]>Artist Soosh captures the beauty of these family moments through a series of moving illustrations. Made with watercolors, these illustrations are a joy to look at, radiating with love, emotion, and appreciation.
According to the artist, she has always been keen to observe the way people interact with those close to them. It is these scenes that provide an endless source of inspiration for her illustrations.
“My main focus has always been people. Their facial expressions, their mimics, their gestures, their acts of kindness, and their weaknesses – all of it is so fascinating and intriguing for me,” Soosh explained their creative process in a recent interview with Creative Mind Class. “Afterwards, it’s just a matter of time, a couple of pencils and some watercolor to dive in and bring to life those daily pictures on paper.”
Soosh regularly shares her newest illustrations on social media. She also published two children’s books to date, Mermaid and Me and Dad By My Side. You can check out more of her works below.

“It is my biggest inspiration. Everything amazing and beautiful is out there already,” Zeidan shared.

Zeidan has so far worked on The Bob’s Burgers Movie by 20th Century Studios, Netflix’s Disenchanted and Green Eggs & Ham series, and the movie Space Jam: A New Legacy.

Tudor says she specializes in sad dogs and self-deprecating comics, and characters in her work often take shape of animals because she believes this makes it easier to take an honest look at ourselves.
“My introspective comics go from wholesome to savage fast enough to give you whiplash. I love a quippy one-liner and I love a painfully honest punchline. My visual style relies on cuteness and animals as a means of taking ugly feelings and making them more digestible,” explains Tudor on her official website.
We’ve seen Tudor create several successful series, from Dog with Boots to eco-conscious 10 Years to Save the World, but she’s recently been focusing on Pink Rabbits comics.

]]>Põder is currently based in London, but she hails from Estonia, where she spent most of her life. Her childhood in this Baltic country largely influenced her art, and growing up in “a very green little town” made her fall in love with nature at a young age.
Many years later, her work is inspired by that calm feeling that being in nature brings along, and she’s trying to capture it through her illustrations.
“I love creating peaceful and dreamy atmospheres… Nature is my biggest source of inspiration and I try to go and explore woodlands, lakes, botanical gardens, parks, and pretty much any natural places far and nearby as possible,” the artist explains on her official website.
Põder mostly relies on Procreate when working on her illustrations, and she uses a lot of stamp brushes, created from hand-drawn images. In addition to sharing her illustrations with over 100,000 followers online, her work also appeared in several children’s books over the years.

]]>Rose’s passion for drawing came from her childhood. She told BoredPanda, “I’ve always loved comics and cartoons — every day when I was a kid, I’d grab the newspaper to look at the funnies. I used to watch cartoons just to sit and draw the characters, which is how I learned to draw and to understand the different ways cartoons can tell jokes.”
Cats are known for being mischievous pets, but Rose shows us that boyfriends can get into their own messes. She draws comics of her loved ones getting into all sorts of trouble. And she’s really mastered portraying a short story in just a few panels of a comic.
How does her boyfriend feel about being made into a drawing, you might wonder? “My boyfriend and cats are my main muse. I’ve always drawn little cartoons of him doing the silly things he does, and he loves his cartoon self.” If you were waiting for the inspiration to start drawing your significant other into a comic, this is it!
Make sure you pay extra attention to these comics. Although they seem fairly simple, they come with many hidden gems. “I like to add lots of details to them like silly posters on the walls or hidden puns.
