Most of the coffee shops these days have a theme for their shop such as Hello Kitty, Mickey Mouse, floral, rainbow, etc. making them “Insta-worthy” cafés. In Seoul, there’s one unusual café that will make you feel like you entered a cartoon world.
From the moment you stepped into their café, you are greeted by comic strips plastered on the walls, floors, furniture and even their dishes are cartoon-themed. You can’t help but feel as if you walked into a surreal comic world.
The coffee shop got its inspiration from South Korean TV series, W (Two Worlds), starring ng Lee Jong-suk and Han Hyo-joo, in which the characters enter a webtoon world. Cafe Yeonnam-dong 239-20, which is actually the shop’s address, opened in July 2017.
