Woman Shares How She Predicted She’ll Get Fired Several Months Ahead

Getting fired is never pretty. However, things are a bit easier if you know you’re going to lose your job compared to that happening out of the blue, since you can start looking for a new workplace sooner. According to a viral video from TikToker @adminandeve, you can predict that layoffs at your company are coming by paying attention to several warning signs.

@adminandeve, who worked for a tech company, predicted that she would get fired two months before that even happened. She detailed her experience in a video that also explained how she figured it out in order to help others.

The TikToker revealed that the first “warning sign” of upcoming layoffs is executives behaving differently around employees.

“Maybe they’ll stop engaging with the team in ways that they usually would, or maybe they’ll start focusing on random things,” she shared.

The second sign is that the executives are focusing on a budget more than usual. This is followed by the scrapping of projects it was “excited” about in previous months to conserve money. Some of the examples are office renovations and hiring.

The third sign is that there is a “hiring freeze,” which happened in her company before the layoffs started. And finally, she cites “receiving feedback that is completely different than all the feedback you received before.” According to @adminandeve, the company does this to “build a case to put you on the chopping block.”

She, unfortunately, was right about being fired but there is a silver lining to this story. She helped numerous people and received a lot of attention online, which might help her in the process of looking for a new job. It also attracted thousands of new followers to her TikTok account, so maybe even a social media career is in the books for her.
