Woman Transforms Her 1895-Style Home Into a Colorful Wonderland

Back in 2015, Lily and David Sawyer bought their dream house. Despite loving the original 1895-style features, they still thought the place needed some changes. That’s when Lily rolled up her sleeves.

She described their house as a blank canvas that had to be turned into a beautiful colorful home.

“When we moved in the house was actually in really good condition, it was just very plain. It had an ugly fire in the front room, but it did have original features, which was one of the things we really loved about it,” she explained to Metro UK.

She then added that despite the ugly fireplace, there were other things she liked, such as the 119-year-old oven.

Bright and colorful furniture placed alongside the dark and florally walls now give the home an Instagram-worthy vibe, which is enjoyed by the couple, Lily’s mum, and their three children. Being satisfied with her project, she decided to start an Instagram account where she shares pictures of her beautiful place. The profile currently has 109,000 followers and thousands of likes on each post.
