Britney Spears is one of the most iconic pop stars of her generation, with millions of fans across the globe. Allegra “Pi” DuVal is one of them, and she became a true internet sensation after going the extra mile to look just like her idol.
DuVal is a professional dancer, and she found huge success in this field long before she started impersonating Spears. She owned her own dance company and did the choreography for RuPaul’s Drag Race winners, but had to switch things up after taking a break from work in the face of the global pandemic.
“I started making Britney TikToks just for fun because I had a few Britney costumes. I started refining my makeup and figuring out my face contour and the costumes and the hair. Before I knew it, people were messaging me asking to perform at their birthdays,” she told The Sun.
Looking like Britney doesn’t come easy or cheap, and DuVal admitted she spends hundreds of dollars every month on beauty treatments, from bleaching her hair blonde to buying makeup. Looking like her idol may cost a fortune, but she managed to build a whole business out of it, performing at live shows, hosting dance classes, and earning money on Cameo.
