Want to capture your dog’s cuteness in a really special way? Then forget about photographs and paintings—3D felt portraits are the way to go. Just check out the works from artist Anneli Kirby, and you’ll see what we are talking about.

Kirby, who has a successful career as a graphic designer, describes herself as a “part-time dog portrait artist.” Using felted wool, she crafts some of the most adorable 3D portraits of dogs that we had an opportunity to witness. The subjects of her works are usually dogs with caring owners who want to do something special for their furry friends.

According to Kirby, she doesn’t aim for photorealism when making a portrait. Instead, she wants to capture the dog’s personality and uniqueness as well, creating a really unique and personal work. And her clients agree this is the right way to go about it.

“These are more of a fun caricature of your dog and not perfectly photo-realistic,” she explains.

In the future, Kirby also plans to introduce 3D portraits of cats. Until then, continue scrolling to check out more of her amazing works below. Who knows? Maybe you will end up wanting to try making one for your puppy.
