Kids are true masterminds when it comes to coming up with hilarious shenanigans and Anthony Holden learned this as soon as he became a dad. His little ones did and said so many funny things that he decided to document their adventures through a series of comics called Precious Rascals.
After starting to draw comics inspired by his kids, he shared them with a few friends, who advised him to post them on social media. They become a huge hit on Instagram, attracting over 130,000 followers to Holden’s page, but his kids remain his biggest fans and they’re constantly quoting their own catchphrases from the comics.
“Parenting is full of so many tough realities, and I wanted to have pleasant memories of all the good times with our kids… My favorite side effect of this whole effort though is that our kids will go through the strips and read them like family photo albums,” Holden told Bored Panda.
Even though he created Precious Rascals comics with his own kids and their hilarious shenanigans in mind, they found a larger audience because they’re extremely relatable. Holden is constantly receiving messages from his readers telling him his comics remind them of their own kids or their time growing up with siblings.
