Beth Carroll’s Tulle Embroidery Hoops are Inspired By Her Favorite Birds

Many embroidery artists use nature as their main source of inspiration and Beth Carroll is doing the same, but in her own way. Her tulle embroidery hoops pay homage to Mother Earth by focusing on one type of animal in particular—birds.

Beth Carroll describes herself as an artist who specializes in unique embroidered birds on tulle and creating “the magical illusions that these birds will fly out of the hoop and into your home.” Tulle helps her in achieving this effect because birds look more lifelike when surrounded by a transparent background.

Carroll frequently captions her Instagram posts with names of the species in question and she’ll introduce you to many new types of these winged creatures if you decide to follow her page.

She’s using Etsy to sell her art, but you’ll have to put your name on a waitlist if you’re hoping to get your hands on one of her hoops. She also has a Patreon, where she’s sharing the behind-the-scenes progress with her supporters.

Birds are obviously Carroll’s favorite subject, but they’re not the only ones she enjoys exploring. She draws inspiration from nature as a whole and you can find art showcasing intricately embroidered landscapes and other animals on her Instagram page.
