You have probably heard by now that this year’s edition of Met Gala, which is considered the world’s most prestigious fashion event, featured an uninvited guest. A cockroach decided to steal the show and take a walk on the exclusive Met Gala carpet, causing quite a stir among attendees.
The video of the cockroach’s appearance quickly went viral and prompted lots of reactions on social media. Arguably the best one was from artist Travis Chapman, who decided to paint a fashionable version of Met Gala’s surprise guest.
Chapman’s painting sees the cockroach posing at the Met Gala carpet in a jewel-encrusted purple gown.
Internet users ended up being impressed with the painting and rushed to show their appreciation for Chapman’s vision in the comment section.
“That is the prettiest damn cockroach I’ve ever seen,” one Instagram user wrote.
“Thank you for this great service to humanity,” another added.
