Atasan Studio’s Stunning Corsets Pay Homage to Our Favorite Anime

If you love anime and fashion in equal measure, Atasan Studio is about to become your favorite new brand. They capture the essence of Japanese pop culture through meticulously crafted corsets inspired by the world of our favorite anime series.

Atasan Studio was founded in Malaysia in 2021, and it didn’t take them long to make a splash on social media. Their Instagram page is now followed by almost 150,000 people, and their designs are slowly making their way to Hollywood after Maitreyi Ramakrishnan from Never Have I Ever was spotted wearing one of their corsets.

Atasan Studio studio embraces the artistry and storytelling of anime by infusing it into every stitch and detail of their creations. They bring beloved characters, iconic art styles, and the vibrant aesthetics of the anime universe to life through exquisite handmade pieces. Corsets are their specialty, but the studio extends its creativity to a range of clothing inspired by anime, from skirts to dresses.

Most of Atasan’s designs pay homage to Studio Ghibli’s iconic films, ranging from Spirited Away to Howl’s Moving Castle. We’ve seen other anime represented through their garments, but many of them also celebrate Japanese culture in general, featuring such motifs as Sakura flowers, koi fish, and dragons.
