Canadian Brand Honeybea is Breathing a New Life Into Old, Vintage Fabrics

Sustainable fashion brands have been flourishing in recent years, and Honeybea is taking eco-friendly fashion to the next level. This Canadian brand specializes in sawing together the most amazing pieces by using old, found fabrics, and breaking new life into them to create something truly extraordinary.

This brand was founded in Toronto by textile artist and thrift fanatic Rebecca Caulford. She describes herself as a pioneer of the upcycling movement and a passionate circular fashion advocate, and her brand goes beyond simply recycling and repurposing second-hand clothes.

Caulford’s designs started their journey long ago and far away before reaching the hands of her customers because they’ve been made with found fabrics that serve as cherished relics from the past.

Her little studio in Toronto is stacked with vintage textiles, floor to ceiling, and she’s hand-picking them to create the most colorful and unique pieces, from dresses and denim to knitted jackets and sweaters, made from distressed or displaced materials.

“Made one by one in our cozy Canadian studio using the finest vintage and heirloom textiles left on the planet, our joy and artistry lies in piecing together each one-of-a-kind garment with the heart-stopping treasures we have found along the way,” reads Honeybea’s official website.
