Auri Katariina is a young girl from Finland who has a heart of gold. She is a professional cleaner who cleans dirty homes for free, and has earned herself a following of over 2.1 million on Instagram and 8 million on TikTok.
Two years ago, Auri began posting cleaning videos on social media, helping people who couldn’t afford a professional cleaner, and soon became a sensation.
“The dirtier, the better. I love grime and stains and mold, I just love it”, she said in an interview for the BBC.
She spends her weekends cleaning and organizing the homes of people who are struggling, all for free. As word of Auri’s kindness spread, more and more people began to ask for her help. Despite her hard work, she never complained. She is happy to be able to make a difference in the lives of others.
“Usually these people who I am helping, have some kind of mental illness, they are struggling, they had something happen in their lives. They need help and I think everybody needs help at some point in their lives,” she added.
Auri’s actions showed that even the smallest gestures can have a big impact, and that the true measure of a person is not what they have, but what they are willing to give.
