Golsa Golchini is Using Hands as a Canvas for her Whimsical Artwork

Many artists use their hands to craft incredible works of art, but Golsa Golchini went one step further. In addition to painting with her hands, she also tried using them as a canvas for many of her miniature paintings, taking us to hidden, whimsical worlds with each one.

Golchini was born in Tehran, Iran, but relocated to Milan, Italy, where she now works as a visual artist and photographer. She attracted 110,000 to her Instagram page and we’ve watched her paint tiny works of art on everything from leftover cardboard to old photo frames, but her hand paintings emerged as her biggest hit.

Golchini often uses hands or individual fingers to craft incredible miniature paintings, using simple images to tell profound stories. They perfectly encapsulate what her art is all about since she’s always striving toward finding depth and beauty in ordinary things and situations.

“My artworks are my way of communicating with the observer about the things of everyday life that we all have in common. Things we do, objects we use, emotions we feel… My aim is to immerse the observer into the work and make him/her see the world and everyday actions in a different way,” Golchini told Return on Art.
