Goofy Gods Comics Will Change the Way You Look at Greek Mythology

Myths and legends often present gods as almighty, untouchable creatures, but one hilarious duo would like to disagree. The masterminds behind Goofy Gods Comics are sharing silly comics that show Greek gods dealing with everyday problems and showing the world they’re just like us.

This viral Instagram account is now followed by over 400,000 people, and it was created by two friends who met in high school and later decided to start creating comics together because they shared a similar sense of humor and love for mythology.

“We had tons of ideas, but both love mythology so we wanted to give it a go… At first, it was mostly just 1-off jokes, but after a while, we decided to do full stories spreading over multiple comics. Mostly we want people to simply get a laugh out of it,” the duo told Bored Panda.

Most of the comics they’ve shared over the years are inspired by Greek mythology, putting such gods as Zeus and Hades front and center. They even made room for Hades’ dog Cerberus, who is called Cerbie in their comics.

If you love Greek mythology as much as we do, you’ll find a lot to laugh about on this Instagram page. This series of webcomics takes everything we know about Greek gods and puts a twist on it by making them deal with mundane issues of everyday life.
