Gorgeous Paper Interior Artwork by Simon Schubert

Simon Schubert is a German artist who has a very unique talent—creating complex interior images using nothing but folded sheets of white paper. We’re sure you’ve never seen anything quite like it before, and neither have we!

Using the folds, Schubert captures lights and create shadows, working together to form detailed images of beautiful places. From simple empty rooms to complex architectural spaces, he intelligently plays with angles and shadows in order to convey how he’s feeling.

Like a true artist, his passion and emotion shines through his work. He uses themes such as loneliness, loss, and isolation often—and masterfully communicates his message with skillful technique.

The atmosphere is icy and mysterious, and everything looks unreal. With no people in sight, it looks like it could dissolve at any moment.

“Most of the people who see the work are surprised that the pictures are created by folding paper, they don’t believe it when I tell them,” the artist tells Bored Panda.

He then reveals that many people don’t believe him, but he doesn’t use any paint or pencils. His audience is always impressed when they realize that everything is simply folded.
