These Tiny Acorn People Called Dubanci Are Adorable In Every Way

Yes, we know. These little acorn elves are the cutest thing ever, and you want one for your next Christmas present. But how did they come into existence in the first place?

Artist Petr Václavek started making them when he and his family first moved to a house near the forest. He named his creations Dubanci, a Czech name that is also the name of his Instagram account where people follow his work.

The autumnal walks in forest inspired Václavek to bring some natural products home. He started collecting chestnuts, twigs, and other things he’d find on his way, and back home he and his kids would try making animals out of them.

The first attempts weren’t successful, but luckily they discovered the hot glue gun and started developing the characters. They are lucky to have plenty of acorns, twigs, and nuts in their garden so there’s always something to work with.

“Over time, I have improved the figures and their photography. Last year, I then started to share them on social networks, where they had great success. Photos of the toilet acorn elf probably flew around the entire internet world,” the artist writes in his bio on Zazzle, where he has an online shop.

There are many different products that feature his art that you can buy from him, such as t-shirts, calendars, mugs, and much more!
