Vicki Ling illustrates things that are “Hanging By a String,” as is the title of her latest illustration series. She shows how all things in our lives are fragile by illustrating potentially catastrophic scenarios that are one loose string away from erupting. By drawing things that are a second away from falling apart, she’s trying to point out that it’s like that in our real world, except that we can’t see the red string.
“We can observe society today has achieved a high degree of economic and technological development, yet we are contemporaneously struggling to keep up with the increasingly fast pace and materialistic nature of life,” Ling told This is Colossal.
