Julia Popova’s Food-Shaped Soaps Look Just Like the Real Thing

Soap art significantly evolved in recent years and we’ve seen many artists make ultra-realistic soaps shaped like all sorts of different objects. Julia Popova is one of them and her soaps take shape of all sorts of tasty foods that look just as amazing as the real thing.

Julia Popova is based in St. Petersburg, Russia and she’s been making her soap art under the moniker OmNom Soap for over a decade. She’s taking soap far beyond a cleaning product and her soaps look so amazing you’d probably feel bad about washing your hands with them.

Popova is best known for transforming soap into astonishingly realistic foods and drinks. When she embarked on this creative journey, Popova only made soap for her friends and relatives, but she found a much larger network of clients once she decided to share her work with the world on social media.

In addition to looking amazing, Popova’s creations also smell amazing. She often uses certain aromas to recreate the smell of foods that her soaps are shaped as, such as the pomegranate smell for alcohol designs because they resemble whiskey or rum. Her soaps look so good you’d most likely feel bad about washing your hands with them, but you can always use them as decoration or to make your closet smell better.
