Layla Robinson is Creating Happiness With Everlasting Flowers

The beauty of flowers is very fleeting and it takes them just a few days to wilt when picked, but Layla Robinson found a way to preserve them long-term. This floral artist says she specializes in “creating happiness with everlasting flowers”, but what does she mean by that?

Robinson uses flowers, foliage, seeds, twigs, and berries grown in her organic garden and foraged from the countryside to make her everlasting works of art. She lives with her family up in the hills above the Welsh town Hay-on-Wye, where she mastered the art of preserving dried flowers and plants and using them to make amazing floral sculptures.

“My work brings together elements of the wild beauty of nature to create unique sustainable artistic pieces that bring a sense of life and movement to wherever they are placed… They can be playful and bursting with color, or delicate, calm and subtle,” explains Robinson on her official website.

Robinson enjoys making everything from wreaths and bouquets to lampshades and chandeliers with dried flowers, and she’s on a mission to make people happy every time they see her creations. She recommends keeping her floral art in dry places, out of direct heat and light, because excess moisture can lead to quicker fading and browning.
